Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts opened lower on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives on Wednesday.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, at 9.55 am, the July 2026 and December 2026 contracts eased by 2.5 points each to 1,714.5 and 1,698.0, respectively. The August 2026 contract saw a decline of 4.5 points to 1,713.5, and the September 2026 contract decreased by two points to 1,694.5.
Turnover for the futures stood at 1,917 lots, while open interest totaled 41,795 contracts. Despite the futures' decline, the FBM KLCI index itself showed a slight increase. At 9.11 am, the index rose 3.42 points to 1714.79 from Wednesday's close of 1,711.37.
