Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures were mostly lower in early trading on Thursday. At 9.35 am, several contracts experienced declines, with the December 2025 contract falling 2.5 points to 1,609.5, the January 2026 contract decreasing by two points to 1,613.5, and the March 2026 contract retreating by 2.5 points to 1,595.5. However, the June 2026 contract saw an increase of two points to 1,606.5.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the trading session recorded a turnover of 1,236 lots, with open interest at 38,343 contracts. Despite the overall lower performance of the futures, the benchmark FBM KLCI showed a slight improvement. After 40 minutes of trading, it rose by 1.31 points to 1,612.31, compared with the previous day's close of 1,611.00.
