KLCI Futures See Decline Across All Contracts

Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives experienced a decline in line with the cash market. Friday's trading session closed with all major contracts showing losses.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the July 2026 contract saw a decrease of 19 points, settling at 1,702.0. The August 2026 contract dropped by 18.5 points to close at 1,702.5, while the September 2026 contract also fell by 18.5 points, ending at 1,682.0. The December 2026 contract recorded a 13-point loss, closing at 1,684.5.

Turnover for the day increased significantly, reaching 11,798 lots compared to 6,297 lots on Thursday. Additionally, open interest rose to 51,094 contracts from the previous count of 45,316. At the closing bell at 5 pm, the FBM KLCI recorded a decline of 13.57 points, or 0.79 percent, ending at 1,701.02, down from Thursday's close of 1,714.59.
