KMJG 2024 CONTINUES TOUR OVER 122.5 KM IN MELAKA

ALOR GAJAH, The 2024 Kembara Merdeka Jalur Gemilang (KMJG) continues its tour to Melaka involving 122.5 kilometre with five stops to highlight the National Month Celebration.

State Information director, Ab Rasil Hajatil said there will be three stops in Melaka with more than 100 types of various vehicles from government departments and agencies including 50 high-powered motorcycles from the Suzuki VStrom Owner Club Malaysia.

“The convoy will stop at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Seri Tanjung with activities such as the Rukun Negara Pledge , exhibitions and quizzes in conjunction with the Jalur Gemilang campaign with students and teachers and then stop at the Jasin district police headquarters (IPD) to distribute and install flags on vehicles.

“The tour in the state will end at the Chohong Recreation Centre with the celebration of various interesting activities with the MADANI Community before handing over the Jalur Gemilang to the Johor Convoy Leader at Dataran Tangkak,” he told reporters at the Freep

Earlier, he joined the flagging off of Melaka level KMJG2024 participants by the senior deputy exco for Housing, Local Government, Drainage, Climate Change and Disaster Management Datuk Zulkiflee Mohd Zin.

The KMJG2024 convoy travelled to Selangor, Negeri Sembilan and Melaka then to Johor, Terengganu, Perak, Kelantan, Kedah, Penang, Perlis before ending in Kuala Lumpur on August 21.

KMJG 2024 which started last Sunday in conjunction with the Launching Ceremony of the National Month and 2024 Fly the Jalur Gemilang campaign was officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to fire up the spirit of patriotism ahead of the National Day and Malaysia Day 2024 celebration.
