KMJG 2024 Convoy To Make 700km Journey Throughout Perak


KUALA KANGSAR, The national-level Kembara Merdeka Jalur Gemilang (KMJG) 2024 convoy that stopped at Kuala Kangsar here was warmly welcomed at the grounds of the Jubilee Hall here today.

Kuala Kangsar district officer Muhammad Nazri Abdullah and Kuala Kangsar Municipal Council president Dr Sakduddin Zamli were among those who received 23 convoy participants from the Information Department upon their arrival.

The convoy is on a three day journey through the state, stopping at Kerian, Larut Matang and Selama districts yesterday before handing over their duties o the Penang team today, who travelled to Kuala Kangsar and Perak Tengah, before heading to Kampar and Muallim tomorrow, a journey totaling 700 kilometres.

Muhammad Nazri said in his greeting speech that the love for the country and patriotic spirit needed to be instilled in everyone and not just expressed during the National Month, adding that it would indirectly strengthen unity among the multicultural society in the country.

‘I hope that the youth
especially, will remember and appreciate the sacrifices of previous leaders to ensure that the country achieved independence,’ he said.

The KMJG 2024 convoy in Perak was joined by 12 vehicles, with the involvement of the Informantion Department, the police and the Fire and Rescue Department.
