Kuala lumpur: Koperasi Serbausaha Makmur Berhad (Kosma) will disburse RM32.538 million in dividend payments for the financial year 2024 to its 1,495 members starting today. Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail announced that the amount includes RM23.97 million from plantation units, bringing the total dividend payout, including both plantation units and share dividends, to RM56.508 million.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, for the financial year 2024, Kosma's audited total income was recorded at RM290.79 million, while the net profit stood at RM132.77 million. The dividend payout reflects Kosma's efficient management and the sustainable returns generated from its investments. Wan Rosdy emphasized the cooperative's success as a result of hard work and consistent effort, believing that the dividend distribution will enhance the well-being of members and the wider Malaysian community.
In another development, Wan Rosdy reported that the state government had collected more than RM700 million in revenue as of yesterday. He expressed confidence that Pahang will surpass RM1 billion in revenue this year, marking the fourth consecutive year of achieving this milestone. Additionally, the state government has managed to reduce its debt from RM3.2 billion to RM900 million through prudent financial management. Their principle emphasizes spending without waste and saving without stinginess.
