Seremban: The Negeri Sembilan Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) seized approximately 1,000 litres of subsidised diesel during raids conducted under Op Tiris and Op Jeriji in Taman Angsamas yesterday.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, S. Veerapan, the chairman of the State Entrepreneurship, Human Resources, Climate Change, Cooperatives and Consumerism Committee, stated that the raid, which took place at 11 pm, also resulted in the seizure of a Daihatsu lorry, a 1,000-litre IBC tank, a water storage tank, a pump, and a pipe hose. The total value of these seized items is estimated at RM18,912.91.

An inspection at a residential premises uncovered the activity of storing diesel without a valid permit, believed to be intended for distribution. An individual identified as the owner of both the lorry and the premises was responsible for the operation, according to the statement released.

The investigation revealed that the man involved did not possess a permit to store controlled goods, thereby violating Regulation 3(1) of the Control of Supplies Regulations 1974. Further investigations into the matter are ongoing.

Veerapan emphasized that trading in controlled goods without a permit is a serious offence with the potential to impact consumer safety and market stability.
