KYZEN Opens New Facility in Penang to Boost Manufacturing Capabilities

Penang:KYZEN Corporation, known for its precision cleaning solutions for electronics and advanced manufacturing, has inaugurated a new facility in Penang, marking a major expansion of its operations after more than 16 years in the region.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) and KYZEN jointly announced that this new facility will enhance the company's operational and staffing capacity to support its growing customer base throughout Malaysia and the Asia-Pacific region.

The facility represents a substantial financial investment and is designed to increase production capacity, product delivery, and technical support. It will allow KYZEN to incorporate advanced manufacturing technologies and sustainable practices.

Key sectors such as semiconductors, electronics, automotive, medical devices, and industrial manufacturing will benefit from the support offered by the new facility. The expansion also strengthens KYZEN's capability to provide innovative and environmentally responsible cleaning solutions.

Deputy Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Sim Tze Tzin emphasized the expansion as a testament to KYZEN's confidence in Malaysia as a strategic hub for advanced manufacturing and technology-driven industries. He noted that the move is a commitment to innovation and creating opportunities for local talent and industry collaboration.

MIDA CEO Datuk Sikh Shamsul Ibrahim Sikh Abdul Majid highlighted that KYZEN's growth after 16 years in Malaysia signifies ongoing confidence in the country's manufacturing ecosystem. The expansion aligns with Malaysia's New Industrial Master Plan 2030, which aims to bolster industrial capabilities and technological advancement.

In the first half of 2026, Malaysia's manufacturing sector secured RM51.3 billion in approved investments from 973 projects. MIDA continues to support investors in implementing and expanding their operations in the country.

R. Erik Miller, KYZEN's president and COO, stated that the new facility will enable the company to better serve regional customers, offer quality employment opportunities, and support the advancement of manufacturing capabilities in the region.
