Labuan: Labuan Corporation (LC) broadened its promotional map for the upcoming Borneo Flora Festival (BFF) by bringing the island’s flagship tourism event to one of Sabah’s most prominent industrial platforms – the Sabah Oil, Gas and Energy Conference and Exhibition (SOGCE) 2025.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the promotional drive ran throughout the two-day exhibition from July 3-4 at Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) in Kota Kinabalu, aiming to capture the interest of both local and international participants attending Sabah’s largest oil and gas event. LC deputy chief executive officer (Development) Azali Ardi led the campaign, alongside LC Investment Unit head Edzrina Tamin and Shafika Azlin.
The team actively engaged with visitors, distributing event brochures and showcasing highlights of the Borneo Flora Festival, including its signature floral displays, landscaping competitions, eco-tourism elements, and cultural showcases. The Borneo Flora Festival, which is scheduled to take place later this year in Labuan, celebrates nature, art, and community with floral parade floats, garden design exhibitions, creative flower installations, traditional performances, and educational programmes aimed at promoting environmental sustainability and tourism development.
Azali stated that the strategic promotion at SOGCE 2025 aligns with LC’s vision to position Labuan as a premier eco-tourism and cultural destination in the region. “This is part of our wider effort to elevate Labuan’s presence beyond the island and highlight the cultural and tourism potential the Borneo Flora Festival brings to the region,” he told Bernama.
The event is expected to draw thousands of domestic and international visitors, offering an immersive experience for families, nature lovers, and cultural enthusiasts.
