Tanjung chat: The 'Laman Fantasi' (Fantasy Garden) landscape exhibition is expected to be among the main attractions at the Kelantan Flora Festival 2026, set to take place over four days from September 24 to 27 at Taman Perbandaran Tengku Anis, Tanjung Chat.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, State Agriculture, Agro-Food Industry and Commodity Committee chairman Datuk Tuan Mohd Saripudin Tuan Ismail shared that Laman Fantasi will highlight the creativity of local authorities through unique landscape designs that align with the festival's theme, 'Alam Lestari, Komuniti Harmoni' (Sustainable Nature, Harmonious Community). The festival will also present a range of activities associated with floriculture, ornamental plants, and landscaping, offering the public opportunities to engage in and explore these areas.

In addition to the main exhibition, visitors can look forward to rose and bromeliad exhibitions, a paludarium display, and sales of floriculture products alongside offerings from small and medium-sized industry (SME) entrepreneurs. The festival includes participation from various government departments, agencies, local authorities, and entrepreneurs to ensure activities are available for all segments of society.

Tuan Mohd Saripudin noted that several competitions and interactive activities are planned, such as a Creative and Innovative Flora Costume Competition for primary schools, children's drawing and colouring contests, photography and short video competitions, and quizzes. A new feature this year, Laman Unggas, will showcase bird exhibitions, static displays, a petting zoo, sales of colourful chicks, and various daily activities.

The festival will also offer nighttime activities, with certain exhibitions and events running until 11 pm. These include the Perdana Forum, Dikir Barat performances, wayang kulit, lucky draws, and quizzes. The event is held in celebration of the 57th birthday of Sultan Muhammad V, with free entry extended to the public, including visitors from outside Kelantan.
