Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has announced a Level 1 hot weather alert for ten areas across Perlis, Kedah, and Kelantan. This alert applies to the entire state of Perlis and specific regions in Kedah, including Pokok Sena, Padang Terap, Pendang, and Sik. In Kelantan, the affected areas are Machang, Kuala Krai, Pasir Mas, Jeli, and Tanah Merah.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, MetMalaysia's Level 1 alert is declared when the daily maximum temperature in a region reaches between 35 to 37 degrees Celsius for a minimum of three consecutive days.
