LIAM Celebrates #LIAMGoldenMoments Campaign Winners With RM40,400 In Cash Prizes

Kuala Lumpur: This charity-driven social media campaign invited Malaysians to share their personal stories of life's golden moments through video submissions on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, with participants competing for RM40,400 in cash prizes. The campaign's highlight was the announcement of the Top 5 Most Creative Videos, and Top 3 Most Impactful Videos at the prize-giving ceremony held at Azman Hashim Auditorium, AICB Building, here today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, among the Top 3 Most Impactful Videos winners was a dedicated teacher from Sarawak, Siti Aisyah Azhar, 28, with her compelling video that showcased her mission to empower students in rural areas, earning her the RM5,000 grand prize in this category. Another heartwarming entry came from Muhammad Syafiq Zainal, 33, a town planner from Taiping, Perak, who video documented his daughter Ameena's inspiring journey of overcoming Atrial Septal Defect (ASD). His touching story also earned him RM5,000. Meanwhile, Muhammad Afiq Mohd Nasri, 34, a graphic designer from Seremban shared his determination to achieve a healthier lifestyle in his video, "Health is Wealth". His inspiring journey of weight loss and commitment to fitness won him RM5,000.

The Top Five Most Creative Videos, each receiving RM2,000, were Mohd Nor Nazeri Abd Razak, 37; Ariff Hakimi Chik, 27; Norlela Mohd Yusoff, 34; Muhammad Faris Md Rashid, 29; and Siti Nurul Fathiyah Hamim, 33.

Speaking at the event, LIAM president Raymond Lew described 2024 as an extraordinary year for the life insurance industry. "Our five decades of service reflect a journey marked by community impact and industry transformation. This year, LIAM spearheaded initiatives that touched many lives, promoted financial literacy, enhanced community welfare, and supported sustainability efforts."

He further highlighted LIAM's significant initiatives, such as the support for the National Cancer Society and the ROSE Foundation. "Through the Leaving No One Behind - HPV Vaccination and Screening Programme, we are making a real impact in our fight against cancer. Our RM3.65 million investment has provided 100,000 young girls with HPV vaccinations and 10,000 women getting screened across Malaysia," he said.

The recipients of these initiatives include the Association of Learning Disabilities District of Petaling Selangor (GOLD), Suri Lifestyle, Persatuan Wanita Dan lbu Tunggal (MITUS), Reef Check Malaysia, and The Asli Co./Ajar Society.
