Lotus’s Charity Run Raises Record RM500,000 for Student Empowerment

Ara Damansara:The Lotus's Ceria Charity Run (CCR'26) achieved a fundraising milestone, collecting RM500,000 for the PINTAR SMART Up School Programme, which aims to empower students through education and financial literacy.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the event took place at Lotus's Ara Damansara and attracted 5,000 participants. The funds raised will support the programme's goal of empowering 50,000 students nationwide by 2030. Lotus's Malaysia CEO Saksit Panurach highlighted the run's purpose of uniting communities and creating opportunities for students.

The PINTAR SMART Up School Programme includes the Smart Shopper Plus initiative, launched in August 2025, which imparts financial literacy skills to students. To date, it has reached 2,394 students at 21 Lotus's Adopted Schools across seven states, achieving a 96 percent goal completion rate.

Each registration for CCR'26 contributed RM20 to the programme, and runners had the option to buy a special edition jersey for RM30, with proceeds also supporting the cause. Exclusive sponsors included Milo, Omega, and Nestum, among others, while Chipsmore and Jacobs were among the platinum sponsors.

The event featured a Race Village with product sampling booths, games, and food offerings. New to this year's event was a 21.1km Competitive Half Marathon, along with the returning 5km and 10km Shop and Run categories.

Lotus's Malaysia has partnered with PINTAR Foundation since 2016 under its School Adoption Programme as part of the company's #KitakanJiran education pillar.
