MACC To Host Academic Forum At WTCKL Tomorrow

Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), in collaboration with Asia e University (AeU) and the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL), will host the Wacana Ilmiah Perdana event at WTCKL tomorrow. MACC's Strategic Communications Director, Hisyam Mohd Yusoff, stated that approximately 300 participants, including enforcement officers, academics, and community leaders from both public and private sectors, are expected to attend the inaugural forum.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the programme aims to share MACC's experiences and insights on transforming the institution, with a focus on education and prevention as key steps in advancing the fight against corruption. Hisyam emphasized that the discourse seeks to explore how education can shape a generation with strong integrity and promote social responsibility in addressing corruption and abuse of power.

Hisyam further explained that the initiative provides a platform for enforcement officers, academics, and community leaders to reinforce integrity in education and governance. MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki is set to deliver the keynote speech, titled "Memperkasa Integriti dan Tadbir Urus Melalui Kepimpinan Beretika" (Empowering Integrity and Governance through Ethical Leadership).

The forum panel will feature notable figures, including MACC Deputy Chief Commissioner (Prevention) Datuk Azmi Kamaruzaman, Asia e University Vice-Chancellor Prof Noor Raihan Ab Hamid, Malaysian Employers Federation Chief Executive Datuk Seri Rosman Mohamed, and Bentong MP and Special Committee on Corruption member Young Syefura Othman. The forum will be chaired by Datuk Seri Mustafar Ali, a board member of the Malaysian Institute of Integrity and the chairman of Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd.
