Madani Community Service Enhances Human Values and Volunteerism Spirit, Says Teo

Kuala lumpur: The MADANI Community Service programme is playing a pivotal role in enhancing human values and fostering a spirit of volunteerism and social service within the community, as stated by Deputy Minister of Communications, Teo Nie Ching. The initiative focuses on improving community well-being through active public participation in various community activities and local development projects.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Teo emphasized that the programme, driven by the Information Department (JaPen), provides the community with accurate and authentic information while empowering individuals to serve as information agents. These agents are responsible for effectively conveying government policies, initiatives, and current issues. She shared these insights at the MADANI Community Service programme held at Taman Tun Sulaiman Ninam Shah.

The event, which was part of a series of activities linked to the 2025 National Month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang Campaign launch in Bandar Maharani, attracted over 700 participants. Teo highlighted that the strong turnout indicates the community's positive reception of the volunteerism-based initiative, which encourages awareness, care, and unity among participants.

Teo urged the public to participate in the launch of the 2025 National Month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang Campaign, to be officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at Dataran Tanjung Emas. She noted that the ceremony aims to enhance the public's patriotic spirit and appreciation of the country's independence.

Additionally, the deputy minister spoke about the 2025 National Day and Malaysia Day (HKHM2025) celebrations, themed "Malaysia MADANI: Rakyat Disantuni." This theme reflects the government's commitment to prioritizing the welfare of all societal levels by treating, listening to, and protecting its citizens.

The MADANI Community Service encompasses a range of activities, including gotong royong, a motorcycle oil change programme, free haircuts, e-Sports, asam pedas cooking competitions, and lucky draws, all contributing to community engagement and development.
