Kuantan: The public will have the opportunity to watch a full-scale combat parade and elite forces demonstration by the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) in conjunction with the 92nd MAF Anniversary celebrations, set to take place at the Kuantan Air Base from Sept 20 to 21.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Assistant Chief of Staff for Personnel Services at MAF Headquarters, Major General Datuk Ts Reizal Arif Ismail, said the event will also feature an aerial show by Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) fighter jets and a thrilling parachute jump demonstration.
Adding to the festivities, he said a static display of ATM's latest high-tech equipment will be showcased through the Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) Carnival. 'This year's theme is Angkatan Masa Hadapan, Kedaulatan Dijulang, Pertahanan Diperkasa (Future Force: Sovereignty Upheld, Defence Empowered).
'I would like to invite all Malaysians to attend this year's celebration, especially since it will be held during the school holidays at Kuantan Air Base, which has the capacity to accommodate a large number of visitors,' he said when featured in Bernama TV's programme Apa Khabar Malaysia, today.
In addition to military demonstrations, Reizal Arif said visitors can enjoy live performances by ATM's band and brass ensemble, highlighting the musical talents of its personnel. The event also presents an opportunity for those interested in joining the armed forces to learn more about enlistment procedures and career paths.
'This celebration will also serve as a platform for talent scouting, giving ATM a chance to engage with and inspire the next generation of military personnel,' he added.
