Selangor: The Malaysian Government Services Welfare and Sports Council (MAKSAK) Futsal Championship, known as the MAKSAK Games 2025, showcases the government's commitment to fostering a civil service that is active, healthy, and productive.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Selangor State Secretary Datuk Dr Ahmad Fadzli Ahmad Tajuddin emphasized the importance of physical activity for civil service members in the current era of information and fast-paced work demands. He stated that the MAKSAK Games Futsal Championship exemplifies the commitment to nurturing civil service officers who are physically and mentally active, which is crucial for effective decision-making and performance.
Ahmad Fadzli, who also serves as the President of Selangor MAKSAK, made these remarks during the Official Opening Ceremony of the National Level MAKSAK Games Futsal Championship. He underlined the significance of a work culture based on enjoyment and harmony, supported by activities that promote recreation, welfare, and social interaction. This approach is in line with the Guidelines of Cultivating Enjoyment of Work in the Public Sector issued by the Public Service Department (JPA).
Ahmad Fadzli highlighted MAKSAK as a valuable platform for fostering interaction, networking, and the spirit of health and well-being among civil servants. He pointed out that in today's challenging environment, physical and mental health are essential assets, and supporting sports activities among civil servants is a key goal to build a healthy and competitive workforce.
The National Level MAKSAK Games Futsal Championship features participation from 550 athletes and officials representing 17 MAKSAK affiliated bodies. The four-day event is taking place at several venues, including the Sportiza Batu 3 arena, the Youth and Sports Department Sports Complex (KOMBES), and the Kompleks Rakan Muda, Puchong.
