Kuala lumpur: National carrier Malaysia Airlines has extended its suspension of all flights to and from Doha, Jeddah, and Madinah until March 4, 2026, following the cancellations implemented from February 28 to March 1, 2026.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Malaysia Aviation Group Bhd (MAG), the parent company of Malaysia Airlines, stated that the decision is due to the continued closure of airspace in parts of the Middle East amid escalating regional security developments. Despite these suspensions, all other flights, including those to London and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, remain on schedule, operating on alternative routes that avoid the affected conflict zones.
The statement detailed the affected flights, which include routes from Kuala Lumpur to Jeddah, Doha, and Madinah, along with specific dates and times of these suspensions. MAG confirmed that affected passengers are being notified and are receiving assistance with alternative travel arrangements where necessary.
"Flights to the affected destinations will remain suspended pending further assessment of the security situation," MAG stated, advising passengers to update their contact information via 'My Booking' for timely updates. Additional assistance is available through Live Chat support on Malaysia Airlines' website or by contacting their global contact center.
