Kuala lumpur: Malaysia Airlines will temporarily resume services to and from Jeddah (JED) and Madinah (MED) from March 4 to March 8, 2026. This follows a suspension of services starting February 28, 2026, due to airspace closures in parts of the Middle East.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, services to Doha (DOH) will remain suspended until March 7, 2026, as Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) continues to assess the security situation. MAG stated that all other flights, including those to London (LHR) and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), remain on schedule, operating on alternative routes to avoid the affected conflict zone.
Affected passengers are being notified and offered assistance with alternative travel arrangements where needed. Passengers are advised to update their contact details via the 'My Booking' feature for timely updates. Assistance is available through Live Chat on the website or by contacting the Malaysia Airlines Global Contact Centre at 1 300 88 3000 (within Malaysia) or +603 7843 3000 (outside Malaysia).
MAG emphasized that the safety and well-being of passengers and crew are its highest priorities. As flights resume, Malaysia Airlines is taking measures to safeguard operations, which include using alternative flight paths, coordinating with aviation authorities and airport partners, strengthening in-flight safety and operational procedures, and keeping passengers informed with updates and support.
Malaysia Airlines will continue to monitor developments and take necessary measures to ensure safe and reliable operations, with the safety of both passengers and crew remaining a top priority, according to MAG.
