Kuala lumpur: Malaysia and Brunei have reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations founded on trust, mutual respect and consensus in addressing regional and global challenges. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim stated this was among the key matters discussed during his audience with the Sultan of Brunei, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, in the capital tonight. According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar highlighted the mutual respect shared by both nations and their dedication to enhancing the special relationship between Malaysia and Brunei. This relationship is deeply rooted in trust, confidence, and consensus, providing a strong foundation for tackling regional and global challenges. Anwar emphasized that the ties between the two nations extend far beyond formal diplomacy. He described the relationship as a bond of brotherhood rooted in history, strengthened by sincerity, and guided by a common determination to safeguard the well-being of the people of both countries.
