Kuala lumpur: Yayasan Warisan Ummah Ikhlas (WUIF) has announced that the Malaysia Quran Hour 2025 will take place on August 30, featuring three selected surahs. The programme, scheduled to begin at noon, will focus on the theme 'Merdeka Dengan Rasa' ('Independence with Empathy') and will highlight surahs Al-Saff, Al-Balad, and Ali Imran.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, WUIF chief executive officer Marhaini Yusoff explained that these surahs provide a framework of values and actions grounded in the concept of 'Ahassa'. This concept emphasizes deep empathy that motivates disciplined action, awareness, and a commitment to building a strong, guided ummah, with Allah as the central focus of its endeavors.

Marhaini further elaborated that the theme 'Merdeka Dengan Rasa' was carefully selected to encourage society to liberate itself from arrogance, oppression, and injustice. The initiative aims to inspire a shift towards establishing a community that is fair, compassionate, and rooted in mutual respect.
