Kuala lumpur: Dato' Seri Utama Haji Mohamad Bin Haji Hasan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, met with His Excellency Wang Yi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, for a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the 58th ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting and Related Meetings on 10 July 2025. The meeting took place in Kuala Lumpur and aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation between Malaysia and China.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Foreign Ministers exchanged views on ASEAN-China dialogue relations. They reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening their strategic partnership, with a focus on economic collaboration, regional connectivity, and sustainable development. The discussions touched upon the successful State Visit and the Joint Statement on Deepening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and Building a Malaysia-China Community with a Shared Future.
Key areas highlighted during the meeting included cooperation in technical and vocational education and training (TVET), artificial intelligence (AI), security, the digital economy, research and development (R and D), and the Two Countries Twin Parks initiative. Both ministers emphasized the importance of these initiatives in advancing the Malaysia-China partnership.
