Malaysian Athletes to Compete in SEA Games 2025 on December 10

Bangkok: Malaysian athletes are set to compete in a range of sporting events at the SEA Games 2025 in Thailand on Wednesday, December 10. The competitions will be held across different venues, showcasing talents in artistic gymnastics, artistic swimming, badminton, and more. According to BERNAMA News Agency, the day starts with artistic gymnastics at Gymnasium 5, Thammasat University Rangsit Campus. The Malaysian team features Luqman Al-Hafiz Zulfa, Mohammad Sharul Aimy, Muhammad Bariq Mat Daud, Ng Chun Chen, Yeap Kang Xian, Cadence The Zi Qi, and Rachel Yeoh Li Wen competing in various events starting from 11 am. In artistic swimming, Malaysia will compete in the Free Routine Team final at Assumption University Suvarnabhumi Campus, Samut Prakan, at 7 pm. Meanwhile, the badminton men's team faces Indonesia in the finals at 4 pm in Gymnasium 4, Thammasat University Rangsit Campus. The baseball team will take on Singapore in a round-robin match at the Baseball Stadium Queen Sirikit Sports Center at 10 am. B asketball 3x3 matches will see both the men's and women's teams competing against Laos, Indonesia, and the Philippines throughout the day at Nimibutr Stadium, National Stadium. In billiards and snooker, the women's snooker team, comprising Bronica Song Kai Yin and Tan Kim Mei, will play in the quarter-final at 11 am at Thunder Dome, Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi. The boxing event will feature Muhammad Rasdenal Haikal in the men's 57kg bout at Chulalongkorn University Sports Centre at 3 pm. Canoeing heats and finals will see Mohamad Nazrin Najib and Azlyn Farhana Mohamad Azmi Tan competing in slalom events at the Royal Thai Navy Rowing and Canoeing Training Centre, Rayong. Cricket matches will be held at both Asian Institute Of Technology and Terdthai Cricket Grounds, with Malaysia facing the Philippines and Myanmar in women's T10 group stage matches and Indonesia in men's T20 round-robin. Cycling, equestrian polo, hockey, ice hockey, petanque, sailing, sepak takraw, swimming, taekwondo, tennis, volleyball , water ski, and woodball will also feature Malaysian athletes across various venues throughout the day.
