Kuala Lumpur: Malaysians in India and Pakistan, particularly students, have been advised to reach out to the High Commissions in their respective countries and provide complete information to ease communication and assistance if required. Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan emphasized the importance of caution and urged Malaysians to avoid traveling to high-risk areas following recent reports of cross-border attacks.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan specifically advised Malaysians to steer clear of dangerous regions, particularly in Kashmir, and to cancel any planned trips to the area. He reassured that, so far, no Malaysians have been impacted by the ongoing tensions. His comments came during an address at the Sekolah Kebangsaan Senawang 3 Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG) Meeting.
Additionally, the Rembau Member of Parliament called on India and Pakistan to halt any actions that could further escalate the tensions. Mohamad highlighted Malaysia's concerns regarding the situation, noting incidents involving drones and rocket attacks that need to be avoided. He urged the leaders of both countries to consider the broader implications of the conflict and work towards a peaceful resolution.
