Malaysia’s Unwavering Support for Palestinian Rights: PM Anwar

Kuala lumpur: Malaysia has consistently defended the rights of the Palestinian people, even as much of the international community appears to overlook these issues, according to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. Anwar emphasized his commitment to raising awareness about the plight of Palestinians during every international engagement, whether it be in Tokyo, Beijing, New Delhi, or Europe.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar highlighted the ongoing struggles faced by Palestinians, including the seizure of land, destruction of homes, and demolition of schools and places of worship. He described the situation in Gaza as not merely a war but an occupation characterized by severe inhumanity. The Prime Minister expressed Malaysia's determination to enhance support for Gaza and the broader Palestinian liberation effort.

Malaysia, alongside international partners, continues to extend aid, providing medical treatment and educational opportunities. Recently, the Malaysian government announced an additional RM100 million allocation for the Palestinian cause. Anwar acknowledged the challenges of this struggle but emphasized the importance of perseverance and faith in eventual justice and truth.

The Prime Minister added that the recent Malam Himpunan dan Selawat Malaysiaku Bersama Gaza gathering, which saw thousands in attendance, exemplifies the unity of Malaysians in opposing oppression and demanding justice for Palestinians. Anwar urged Malaysians to remain united and committed to the cause, assuring the people of Gaza and Palestine of Malaysia's steadfast support.
