Sungai besar: A man was killed, and his wife was seriously injured after their car skidded and crashed into a road divider at Kampung Belia 2, Sungai Panjang, Sungai Besar.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar reported that they received an emergency call at 1.25 pm. Firefighters from the Sungai Besar Fire and Rescue Station were dispatched to the scene, which was approximately 28 kilometres away.

Upon arrival at 1.53 pm, the team discovered that a Proton Saga had skidded, struck a road divider, and overturned. Further inspection revealed the involvement of three victims: the male driver in his 30s, who was pinned in his seat; a woman in her 30s, who sustained serious injuries; and a two-year-old girl, who suffered minor injuries. The victims were identified as a family consisting of a husband, wife, and their child.

Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar stated that two of the victims were rescued by bystanders before the fire department's arrival. The male victim, who was trapped in the vehicle, was extricated at 3.03 pm. The Ministry of Health (MOH) confirmed the man's death at the scene, and his body was handed over to the police for further procedures.
