Sungai long: A young man who was reported missing since July 17 was discovered drowned in Tasik Bukit Enggang, Sungai Long in Kajang yesterday morning. Kajang district police chief ACP Naazron Abdul Yusof stated that his team received a report at 7.30 am from a local man who was fishing at the lake.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, a team of police and Fire and Rescue Department personnel was dispatched to the scene to assist in removing the body found floating approximately 10 feet (3.05 metres) from the lake's banks. The victim was identified as a 25-year-old local man who was reported missing last Thursday in Puchong.
A Honda RS150 motorcycle and a black helmet, suspected to belong to the victim, were discovered on the roadside near Monkey Canopy, Sungai Long. ACP Naazron confirmed that the body was transported to Kajang Hospital for a post-mortem, which determined the cause of death to be drowning. No physical injuries were found that could be linked to any criminal activity.
