Penaga: A man narrowly escaped a life-threatening incident early this morning when a tree fell on his motorcycle near Masjid Jamek Nurussaadah close to Lahar Tabut Penaga.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, John Sagun Francis, the assistant operations director of the Penang Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), reported that his team received an emergency call at 4.55 am. They quickly dispatched personnel from the Kuala Muda Fire and Rescue Station to the scene of the incident.
Upon their arrival, the firemen discovered that a tree had fallen, crushing a Yamaha Legend motorcycle ridden by a 43-year-old man. The firefighters immediately began cutting the tree branches to rescue the victim.
John stated that the victim sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital by a Ministry of Health (MOH) ambulance for further medical examination and treatment. The operation to clear the site concluded successfully at 7.24 am.
