Manulife’s Second Quarter Net Profit Rises to RM43.14 Million

Kuala lumpur: Manulife Holdings Bhd's net profit for the second quarter ended June 30, 2025, surged to RM43.14 million from RM19.24 million recorded in the previous year.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, despite the increase in net profit, the company's revenue experienced a slight decline, dropping by RM2.1 million to RM198.64 million from RM200.76 million. This decrease was attributed to reduced contributions from asset management services. Specifically, the operating revenue of this segment fell by RM5.7 million due to a lower initial service fee, though profit before tax saw an increase of RM1.9 million due to decreased expenses.

In the first half of the year, Manulife reported a net profit increase to RM50.26 million from RM49.34 million, with revenue rising to RM409.42 million from RM399.73 million compared to the same period last year.

Looking ahead, Manulife expressed its commitment to strengthening growth by expanding its productive and professional agency force. The company aims to drive growth in bancassurance and develop alternative partnerships with a focus on acquiring new customers. Additionally, Manulife plans to enhance customer-centricity by offering a compelling value proposition tailored to evolving customer segment needs, improving customer experience through a digital-first approach, and emphasizing convenience.

The company also highlighted its intention to accelerate digitisation through ongoing investment. This strategy aims to establish Manulife as a digital customer leader in the market by building a digitally enabled sales force and enhancing automation for greater operational efficiency.
