Mara Lasak Pahang 2.0 Returns, Promotes Team Spirit And Tourism

Mara lasak pahang: Mara Lasak Pahang 2.0 challenge, now in its second year, aims to foster teamwork and unity while promoting the state's natural beauty and boosting the local economy and tourism sector.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, State Communications and Multimedia, Youth, Sports and Non-Governmental Organisations Committee chairman Fadzli Mohamad Kamal announced that this year's edition, set for April 5 at Felda Chini 1 in Pekan, is anticipated to draw over 1,000 participants from 100 teams. Fadzli highlighted that the initiative aligns with the decree of the Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, to expand the event to different districts, with Chini chosen as the venue for this year's competition.

Fadzli, who also chairs the Pahang Recreation Council, explained that each team must consist of seven male and three female participants. They are required to complete a 15-kilometre run while carrying a five-kilogramme load, navigating through trails, hills, and oil palm plantations. The challenge includes five categories: the VIP invitation category, uniformed bodies, government departments and agencies, statutory bodies and state government-linked companies (GLCs), as well as public and private higher learning institutions and the local community.

Winners in each category will receive cash prizes ranging from RM700 to RM2,000, along with medals. Participants must be Malaysian citizens aged 18 and above, and they must be either born in, working, or studying in Pahang. The registration fee is set at RM500 per team.
