Masri Baharuddin Appointed New Mayor Of Seremban

Seremban: Datuk Masri Baharuddin, the director of the Corporate and Strategic Management Division of the Public Works Department (JKR), has been appointed as the new Mayor of the Seremban City Council (MBS), effective today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun announced that Masri Baharuddin replaces Datuk Masri Razali, who assumed the role of State Financial Officer in May. The state government expressed confidence in Masri Baharuddin's leadership, emphasizing its trust in his capability to guide MBS in transforming Seremban into a sustainable city.

The Menteri Besar noted that the new leadership is anticipated to infuse strategic engineering, smart technology, and efficient governance into the operations of MBS, ultimately enhancing the services offered by the council.

Masri Baharuddin, hailing from Rembau, brings over 30 years of expertise in civil engineering and strategic management within JKR. His previous roles include serving as the Negeri Sembilan JKR director from 2019 to 2020. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and has actively contributed to initiatives like the Quarters Complaint Management System, the development of the ROMAPS system for state road maintenance, and the coordination of significant projects, including the installation of the Kuala Pilah-Tampin Bailey Bridge.
