Deputy public prosecutor Izzat Amir Idham informed the Sessions Court of the matter today during the mention of the case involving Persana Avril Sollunda, 43, before Judge Suhaila Haron.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, 'Based on the forensic psychiatric medical report, the accused is fit to plead and stand trial in this court. The prosecution will call six witnesses to testify,' said Izzat Amir. The accused's lawyer, Jefvinder Singh, informed the court that the defence will review all relevant case documents, including the psychiatric report, before submitting a representation.

Suhaila subsequently set the trial dates for Dec 3 to 5, with a further case mention scheduled for Oct 13. On July 22, the court ordered the accused to undergo a one-month psychiatric examination at Hospital Bahagia Ulu Kinta, Tanjung Rambutan, Perak, following the granting of an application by the prosecution to obtain a report on her mental health.
