MBKT Mandates Business Closure for Aidiladha Observance

Kuala Lumpur: All shopping complexes, hypermarkets, and supermarkets within the Kuala Terengganu City Council (MBKT) jurisdiction have been ordered to fully close on 10 Zulhijjah (June 7).

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Kuala Terengganu Mayor Datuk Jusman Ibrahim announced that fast-food outlets, 24-hour convenience stores, and other retailers such as 7-Eleven, Mr DIY, Treleaf Market, and Eco-Shop are required to shut their doors from midnight on 10 Zulhijjah until 1 pm the following day.

The mayor emphasized that the directive aims to honor the sanctity of Aidiladha and facilitate the smooth execution of sacrificial rituals. MBKT is seeking the cooperation of all businesses to adhere to the closure on June 7.

Datuk Jusman Ibrahim also warned that any businesses failing to comply with the directive would face actions under the applicable regulations.
