It said the advertisement was fake and had not been officially issued or published by the council. According to BERNAMA News Agency, the council has cautioned the public against believing or sharing the misleading advertisement. The statement advised against taking any action based on its content, including scanning the QR code or barcode provided. The council also warned individuals not to disclose personal or financial information, click on any links, or fill in online forms associated with the fake advertisement. The MBPP emphasized the importance of verifying job vacancy information with its Human Capital Management Division and provided contact numbers for this purpose: 04-2592115, 04-2592311, and 04-2592240. Furthermore, the public is urged not to reshare the fraudulent advertisement and to reach out to the council directly via official channels if they have any doubts regarding job vacancy notices claiming to be from MBPP.
