MBSA Implements SmartQ System, Driving Digital Transformation

Shah Alam: The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) has launched the SmartQ system, aimed at accelerating the official document issuance process while enhancing transparency, accuracy, and efficiency in local government operations. Acting Deputy Mayor, Madiyan Baweh, highlighted that the adoption of the ISO-certified Document Management System (DMS) would lead to significant improvements, including reduced document retrieval times, decreased reliance on physical documents, and cost savings.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, these advancements are expected to enhance productivity and drive greater organizational effectiveness, supporting MBSA's commitment to increased efficiency and accountability in its operations. The SmartQ system is designed to streamline workflow processes tied to ISO document management, covering aspects such as version control, periodic reviews, and approval protocols.

Madiyan Baweh noted that the system also simplifies the organization, storage, and control of key records related to audits, compliance, and risk management. This initiative reflects MBSA's dedication to modernizing its ISO management practices and enhancing public service delivery, aligning with the national agenda for driving digital transformation.

Through the implementation of the SmartQ system, MBSA aims to ensure more efficient, effective, and transparent services for Shah Alam's residents. This aligns with the MBSA Strategic Plan 2021-2025: Pillar 4, which focuses on excellence in digitalization, efficient and effective governance, and integrity.
