Mechamato Animated Series to debut over top Portugal TV station

KUALA LUMPUR, July 28 (Bernama) — After successfully captivating viewers in more than 20 countries in Asia Pacific, the increasingly popular animated series from Malaysia, Mechamato The Animated Series, will be aired over Portugal’s popular television station next.

Monsta’s head of Branding and Marketing Faiz Zainal Abidin said the animated series will be shown on the channel ‘Sociedade Independente de Comunicação’ or SIC K which is the main and leading channel in the country this September.

“Now, Mechamato is becoming more global. We are very excited to be able to entertain children from all over the world using Portuguese as their mother tongue in our animated series,” he said in a statement issued today.

According to him, one of the uniqueness of the animation in gaining fans all over the world is because the storytelling focuses on noble values, friendship, culture in addition to displaying a combination of modern technology and elements of local tradition.

He said, the animation also showcased the historical ​​Bandar Hilir Melaka as the theme of the location of the series.

“I hope that young viewers in Portugal and also around the world will be able to learn a little bit about the history and culture that we inherited from a long time ago until now,” he said.

Meanwhile, he said Mechamato The Animated Series has also been shown in more than 20 countries exclusively on the Cartoon Network Asia Pacific channel including in Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia and New Zealand.

“Mechamato The Animated Series is also dubbed into English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Japanese, Thai, and Vietnamese,” he said.

In addition, Faiz said the animated series can now be watched through the local channel Astro Prima every Saturday and Sunday, at 7 pm in addition to Cartoon Network, HBO GO and Astro GO.

Meanwhile, Faiz said ‘Mechamato The Movie’ will be premiering in cinemas this December in Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam.
