Kuala Lampur:Medisca and EUROAPI have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at increasing the availability of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) for pharmaceutical compounding in North America. This partnership will also explore opportunities in additional markets and peptide development.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Medisca has become EUROAPI's first strategic distribution partner, with a focus on introducing European-manufactured APIs to the North American compounding market. The collaboration involves exclusive supply arrangements for selected APIs and is designed to expand product offerings, enter new markets, and foster pharmaceutical innovation.

Medisca Chief Business Officer, Peng Li, highlighted the significance of this partnership as a milestone in the company's growth. Li noted that EUROAPI's manufacturing and technical expertise, with an emphasis on quality and sustainability, aligns with the evolving needs of the compounding market, particularly as personalized medicine grows across various sectors.

EUROAPI will provide technical and regulatory information about the APIs, while Medisca will offer its market expertise and customer insights. The partnership also involves collaboration on customer initiatives, training, and commercial activities, with plans to introduce new APIs and evaluate additional market opportunities.

Frederic Robert, EUROAPI Chief Commercial Officer, stated that this collaboration would expand access to EUROAPI's APIs, enhance its presence in the compounding market, and open avenues for collaboration in areas such as peptides. The companies plan to leverage Medisca's compounding expertise and EUROAPI's complex API development capabilities to explore peptide-related opportunities.
