Melaka KPDN Mini Carnival Generates RM1.3 Million in Sales

Kuala lumpur: The Melaka Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) Mini Carnival, held over three days starting last Friday, has successfully recorded RM1.3 million in sales as of yesterday, as announced by Senator Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Deputy Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister shared that 200 goods were available during the carnival, attracting approximately 10,000 visitors. She highlighted the popularity of the Jualan Rahmah MADANI program, which was conducted in conjunction with the mini carnival, particularly noting the 'happy hour' sale that provided discounts of up to 50 percent. Fuziah emphasized that such initiatives are crucial in helping people manage their cost of living.

Additionally, Fuziah reported that the KPDN received 446,247 complaints last year, with 8,475 of these complaints concerning online transactions. Up to June 27 of this year, a total of 28,419 complaints had been received, with 5,588 related to online transactions.

During the event, Fuziah also unveiled a book titled "Pengembararan Kippy Bersama Penggunaan Cilik," produced by Melaka KPDN. The book aims to raise consumer awareness among young people, helping future generations to make informed choices, understand their consumer rights, and practice wise spending habits.
