MetMalaysia Issues Thunderstorm Warning Across Multiple Malaysian States

Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm warning for most states in Peninsular Malaysia and several areas in Sarawak until 3 pm today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, MetMalaysia stated that thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds are anticipated over the states of Perlis, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, and the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.

In Kedah, the areas under alert include Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, and Kota Setar, while in Perak, the warning covers Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang, and Muallim.

The forecast also includes Terengganu, specifically Kuala Nerus, Kuala Terengganu, and Kemaman, along with Pahang's Cameron Highlands, Raub, Bentong, and Temerloh.

Selangor is expected to experience similar weather conditions in Hulu Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Petaling, Kuala Langat, Hulu Langat, and Sepang. For Johor, the warning applies to Tangkak, Muar, Batu Pahat, Kluang, Pontian, Kulai, Kota Tinggi, and Johor Bahru.

In Sarawak, the warning is issued for Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Betong, Sarikei (Sarikei and Meradong), Sibu (Sibu), and Mukah (Manis, Daro, Matu, and Dalat).
