Atlanta: Miltenyi Biomedicine has presented the primary analysis of the pivotal DALY 2-EU trial at the 67th American Society of Hematology (ASH) Annual Meeting, showcasing significant findings in the treatment of second-line relapsed/refractory large B-cell lymphoma (r/r LBCL). The trial focused on patients who were ineligible for transplants due to age, comorbidities, or other medical reasons, evaluating the efficacy and safety of zamtocabtagene autoleucel (zamto-cel) against standard chemoimmunotherapy options.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the primary analysis indicated that zamto-cel exhibited a significant and clinically meaningful superiority over the chemoimmunotherapy regimen R-GemOx, particularly in patients with a high risk of rapid disease progression. The patient group in this study was notably characterized by older age and high-risk disease features. The median age of participants was 74, with 57% having a high International Prognostic Index of 3, and 67% presenting with stage III/IV disease. Zamto-cel was well tolerated among this predominantly older and vulnerable population.
