Minister Armizan Orders Swift Aid Delivery To Cut-Off Villages In Papar Floods

Kuala lumpur: Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali has directed the Papar District Disaster Management Committee (JPBD) to prioritise the delivery of essential supplies to villages cut off by floods triggered by continuous rainfall this morning.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Papar MP also instructed the committee to relocate villagers whose homes have been inundated to unsafe levels to temporary relief centres, including the one at the Papar Community Hall. The decision comes after rising water levels left more villages and several areas isolated by floodwaters, prompting JPBD Papar to declare a flood disaster in Papar district today at 10 am.

'I, along with the District Officer (Muhammad Mohd Ali) and Datuk Juil Nuatim (Limbahau State Assemblyman), as well as related agencies, are currently on the ground visiting and delivering aid to villages that have lost road access,' Armizan shared in a Facebook post today.
