Kuala lumpur: Developments on the implementation of the Multi-Lane Fast Flow (MLFF) toll collection system, the establishment of the Malaysian Transport Safety Board (MTSB), and efforts to maintain national security are among the matters scheduled for discussion at the Dewan Rakyat sitting today.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Order Paper on the Parliament’s official website indicates that Zahir Hassan (PH-Wangsa Maju) will inquire during the oral question session about the Works Minister’s evaluation parameters for the pilot test of the Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology and updates on the JustGo application’s use at tolled highways. He also seeks to understand the metric standards used to assess time reliability in the MLFF system’s implementation.
In the same session, Shaharizukirnain Abd Kadir (PN-Setiu) will question the Transport Minister regarding the constraints delaying the establishment of the MTSB, which was proposed nearly 11 years ago as a measure to enhance safety in the transport sector.
Meanwhile, Suhaizan Kaiat (PH-Pulai) is set to ask the Home Minister about the government’s strategy to ensure national security, specifically in preventing public unrest similar to those in Indonesia and Nepal, driven by cost-of-living pressures, dissatisfaction with government policies, and social and political issues.
Additionally, a question from Datuk Dr Alias Razak (PN-Kuala Nerus) to the Health Minister is listed, concerning plans to expand healthy food aid for children aged three and below, taking into account that implementation costs are lower compared to long-term treatment costs from malnutrition and stunting.
Following the question-and-answer session, the Dewan Rakyat sitting will continue with the committee-level debate on the Supply Bill (Budget) 2026. The Third Meeting of the Fourth Session of the 15th Parliament is scheduled to sit for 35 days until December 4.
