Banda sea: A moderate earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale struck the Banda Sea, Indonesia, at 10.45 am today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the quake occurred at a depth of 655 kilometers and was located 293 kilometers southeast of Kendari, Indonesia. However, it posed no tsunami threat to Malaysia.
