Moderate Earthquake Hits Southern Sumba, Indonesia

Southern Sumba: A moderate earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale struck southern Sumba, Indonesia, at 10.28 am today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Malaysian Meteorological Department reported that the quake occurred at a depth of 11 kilometres (km) and was located 315 km south of Bima, Indonesia.

Despite the earthquake's occurrence, there is no tsunami threat to Malaysia.
