Teluk panglima garang: The Ministry of Education (MOE) has announced that clean-up and damage assessment works are currently underway at four schools affected by a storm in Teluk Panglima Garang, Selangor, yesterday.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the schools affected by the storm include Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Sijangkang Jaya, Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Sijangkang Jaya, SK Kampung Medan, and SK Jalan Tanjung. The MOE has stated that repair works will commence immediately once the assessment process is completed. This initiative aims to ensure that the facilities at the affected schools can be made operational again as soon as possible.
To maintain the continuity of education, the MOE announced that all affected schools will implement home-based teaching and learning (PdPR) for the time being. This measure is intended to ensure that the learning process continues smoothly while prioritizing the safety of students, teachers, and all school staff.
Additionally, the ministry has urged state education departments, district education offices, and school administrators nationwide to enhance their preparedness in facing the current unpredictable weather conditions. This proactive approach is to ensure the well-being and safety of all education personnel and students are safeguarded.
