MOH Promotes Health Awareness With Digital Physio Screening At N.Sembilan PMR

Nilai: The Health Ministry (MOH), through its Primary Health Physiotherapy Unit, has introduced Digital Physio screening to raise health awareness among visitors at the Negeri Sembilan edition of the MADANI Rakyat Programme (PMR) at Dataran Nilai.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Primary Health Physiotherapist Nur Ashila Othman, 41, said the screening provided immediate health feedback and intervention using the latest technology at the MOH booth. She explained that the equipment included FiBod, which evaluates body balance and offers early health assessments, as well as the Digital Podoscope, a tool used to analyse foot posture.

"This device can detect foot arch types such as normal, high, and flat arches. The results help visitors choose suitable footwear and exercises, supported by a dedicated e-book," she told Bernama today. Nur Ashila added that the FitMe device was also available for visitors with muscle weakness, such as stroke patients, to identify weak hands or fingers and assist in developing appropriate rehabilitation exercise programmes.

She mentioned that the unit's participation in the PMR for the first time provided the public with the opportunity to better understand the role of physiotherapy in healthcare and to benefit from early digitalised screening. The Negeri Sembilan PMR, which began today, features a range of activities under the theme of digitalisation, aimed at bringing government agencies closer to the people.

With the theme 'Digital Merentasi Generasi, Memperkasa Komuniti', the programme is spearheaded by the Digital Ministry in collaboration with the Prime Minister's Office through the Performance Acceleration Coordination Unit, with the Negeri Sembilan government as host.
