Kuala lumpur: Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs), Datuk Dr Mohd Na'im Mokhtar, today received a courtesy visit from Sheikh Maulana Tariq Jamil, a renowned and influential religious scholar from Pakistan.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Mohd Na'im shared on platform X that during his meeting with Sheikh Tariq Jamil and the delegation from Maahad Tahfiz Miftahil Ulum, they discussed joint efforts to strengthen the global Islamic da'wah and education network. The focus was on producing a new generation of huffaz (Quran memorisers) and scholars with noble character.

Mohd Na'im expressed hope that the bond of brotherhood formed during this meeting would serve as a foundation for closer collaboration between Malaysia and Pakistan in upholding Islam as a religion of mercy for all.

Sheikh Tariq Jamil is recognized not only for his heartfelt sermons and da'wah initiatives but is also active in humanitarian missions through the MTJ Foundation and Islamic education efforts via the Jamia Al-Hasanain institution.
