Kuala lumpur: Chief of Defence Force Gen Tan Sri Mohd Nizam Jaffar has become the first individual to be inducted into the Hall of Fame at the National Resilience College. He stated that this recognition marks the pinnacle of his military career.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Mohd Nizam expressed his gratitude, noting, "I was part of the first cohort in 2020. In any journey, especially in the military, this is one of the highest peaks of my career, and I am deeply grateful to Allah," he remarked following the induction ceremony.

Mohd Nizam is not only an alumnus but also a pioneer participant in the National Resilience College course in 2020. He has also been a recipient of the institution's award. That same year, he returned to serve as the second Commandant of the National Resilience College.

During his tenure, Mohd Nizam made notable contributions through strategic initiatives during the COVID-19 pandemic, such as the development of the Joint Common Operating Picture (JCOP) and the implementation of post-Movement Control Order management simulations.

Under his leadership, the National Resilience College expanded its reach from Cohort 1 to Cohort 6. The participation now includes senior government officials from abroad and state civil service members, marking its global presence.

The Malaysian Armed Forces released a statement highlighting that Mohd Nizam's induction into the Hall of Fame is a personal honour and a recognition of his strategic leadership, mental resilience, and vision as Chief of Defence Force. His leadership has been instrumental in navigating global challenges.

"With the motto 'Duty, Honour, Sacrifice,' he stands as an inspiration and proves that the Malaysian Armed Forces can leave a legacy that transforms the nation's defence landscape," the statement concluded.
