Mortar Bombs Safely Disposed by Police in Dengkil

Dengkil:Three mortar bombs discovered in a Roll-On/Roll-Off (RORO) skip at Kampung Dato Ahmad Razali have been safely disposed of by police.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the mortar shells were found by a scrap metal collector while sorting items outside a house. Upon receiving a report about the find around 3 pm, police promptly cordoned off the area.

The Royal Malaysia Police Bomb Disposal Unit (UPB) was dispatched to the scene to assess the situation. Their checks confirmed the objects as one 81-millimetre shell and two 60mm shells. The UPB retrieved the devices and transported them to a safe location for disposal.

The mortar bombs were detonated at an open construction site in Dengkil at approximately 9.20 am. The disposal operation concluded safely by 9.25 am without any incidents.

Police Chief ACP Norhizam Bahaman advised the public to avoid touching or moving any objects suspected to be explosives and to immediately report such discoveries to the authorities.
