Kuala lumpur: The Ministry of Transport (MOT) has formed a special task force to investigate the derailment of a Light Rail Transit (LRT) train on the Ampang-Sri Petaling Line that occurred this morning. In light of the incident, the findings from the investigation will be submitted to the Cabinet and subsequently made public, as stated by Transport Minister Anthony Loke.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) has been instructed to impose the most severe punitive measures against Prasarana Malaysia Bhd, the operator of the LRT service. The APAD authorities have already initiated an investigation into the incident. Anthony Loke stressed that the Board of Directors and the Infrastructure Management Team must not maintain a "business-as-usual" approach following the incident.
